This course is designed to improve the participants recognition of electrocardiogram (ECG) skills and pharmacology knowledge for treatment of cardiovascular emergencies. This course is a great prep course for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as it will cover all of the major medications given in a cardiac situation. This course will cover basic heart anatomy and electrophysiology and cover a study of the sinus, atrial, junctional, AV blocks and ventricular rhythms and patients experiencing a myocardial infarction. A certificate of completion will be granted the participants.
Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who require this specialized knowledge for their job.
