This American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course will cover the 2010 American Heart Association guidelines and can include optional infant CPR training.
Audience: This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. Many public and/or corporate interest groups take this course.
Course length: Approximately 2-3 hours (Initial and Renewal Course)
Upon successful completion of skills demonstration, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED card, valid for two years.
A Heartsaver CPR/AED student workbook is required to attend. If you do not own the updated version, you must purchase prior to class. Books can be purchased through us by adding the optional book at checkout.
